i was looking at my black and white photos and video and really liked their oldish feel. it was as if i was looking at something from the past, what with bicycles and un-posh cars (it was unintentional). the entire effect was somewhat calming, and i especially liked the casual pedestrain(my gosh i've forgotten how to spell that), the man on the bicycle, the uncle behind the steering wheel in the taxi. it feels so much like home, just that the home we're used to is much too high-tech and frenzied that it just doesn't have the same feel anymore.
i remember seeing a father and son pair riding a bicycle, the child sitting in front of his father looking real tiny. it was a cute sight as his father was actually carrying his school bag for him, a small squarish thing perched on his wide back. and he would cycle in a slight meander, partly to amuse the child, i suppose. they make me smile. a pity i never took a shot of them.

today's my dajie's birthday! miss first-class-honours who deserves only the very best. :)
